Dr Alia Al Serkal joined Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company in 2007 as Senior Director Talent Acquisition, at the point in time the business was commercially rebranded as du. As a critical member of the new leadership team, her role in the transformation was to ensure the right talent were identified for this dynamic organisation. Today, Alia is Vice President People, Learning and Growth and is responsible for developing Talent, Executive Development and Succession Planning.

Prior to joining du, Dr Alia was a Senior Psychologist at Emirates Airline, where she conducted psychometric assessments for selection, promotion and developmental purposes, as well as identifying the UAE National Talent Pool. Dr Alia received coach training with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She obtained her PhD in Psychology from the University of Leeds (UK), MSc in Psychology and Health from Stirling University (UK) and BSc Psych ology from University of Wales (UK). She is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and a Founding Member of the International Psychology Conference Dubai (IPCD).
