Panel Discussion

Topic of Focus: Organisational Culture

What is Organisational Culture: Whilst strategy is the formal logic for organisational goals, Culture defines what is encouraged, discouraged, accepted, or rejected at both a conscious and unconscious level. It resides in shared behaviours, values, and assumptions and often has unintended consequences.  What is it? Can we change it?  If so, how?

Keynote

Topic of Focus: Organisational Change Management

Organizational change is a not a linear process, it is a human process – you need employees to adopt new values and begin working in new ways - and it is hard. A recent study showed that when doctors tell heart patients that they will die if they don’t change their habits, only one in seven will be able to follow through successfully. Desire or motivation are not sufficient even when it is literally a matter of life or death. Sustainable change in any organisation requires a new way of thinking and deliberate efforts in aligning people, processes and practices.
